India vs England: Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler exchange words in high-scoring series decider


The series-deciding 5th T20I between India and England saw a heated moment when India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Jos Buttler in the 13th over of the 225-run chase.

Words were exchanged between India captain Virat Kohli while the dangerous wicketkeeper-batsman after the latter said something after his dismissal. The 30-year-old was on his long way back to the pavilion when Kohli followed him. Buttler kept on walking towards the dugout before taking few steps back to confront the India star, who scored 80 not out runs in the match.

Buttler was (52 off 34) and Dawid Malan stitched a130-run partnership off just 82 balls as the visitors for once looked like running away with the match. However, the fall of Buttler’s wicket opened a floodgate and England stuttered to a 36-run defeat against India.

With the win, India, the 2nd ranked T20I team in the World clinched the 5-match series 3-2 against the number one ranked team in the format.

Notably, Virat Kohli also had a face off with Ben Stokes during the Test series. Kohli had confronted the all-rounder after he abused pacer Mohammed Siraj.

Fans were left curious after the Saturday’s altercation between the two stars and expressed the same on Twitter.
